Owner and founder of Collin County Pediatrics in Frisco, Texas, Dr. Jay Schwartz combines professional experience and compassion to provide expert pediatric care. The father of three boys, Dr. Jay Schwartz knows that parenting is rewarding and challenging. As a result, he has devoted his practice to providing his pediatric and adolescent patients the individualized attention they need and deserve. Equally important, Dr. Schwartz offers parents the knowledge and tools necessary to keep their children healthy. Dr. Schwartz and his staff at Collin County Pediatrics also employ state-of-the-art technology to carry out the most up-to-date medical procedures. Raised in a small town in southwest Wisconsin, Dr. Jay Schwartz earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin. After graduating summa cum laude and earning Dean’s List every semester, he entered the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Dr. Jay Schwartz began practicing medicine in 1994 at Dyess Air Force Base; during his four years as a general pediatrician, he earned the rank of Major. In 1999, he joined the general pediatric team at Midland Pediatric Associates in Midland, Texas, until 2007. In 2006, Dr. Schwartz was promoted to Chief of Pediatrics and held that position before founding Collin County Pediatrics in 2007. From 2001 to 2006, he also served as the Physician Director for Midland Independent School District.

Dr. Jay Schwartz also maintains membership with several professional organizations: the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Texas Pediatric Society, and the Texas Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Schwartz has served as a board member for the Centennial Medical Center and is associated with the Baylor Medical Center at Frisco.
